Janet Rhodes is an attorney at Callison Tighe & Robinson, LLC in Columbia. Her practice at Callison Tighe includes litigating discrimination and other employment matters under both South Carolina and federal law. A native of Ninety Six in Greenwood County, South Carolina, Janet currently chairs the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee of the South Carolina Bar Employment and Labor Law Section.
After graduating from the Charleston School of Law with a Juris Doctor, Janet served as a law clerk for the Hon. J. Ernest Kinard, Fifth Circuit Court. She previously had served as a summer intern with the Hon. Henry F. Floyd, who at that time was a U.S. District Court judge, and who currently serves on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth District. Janet earned her bachelor’s degree in government at Wofford College, graduating magna cum laude and studying abroad in London. During her time at Wofford, she also was a member of the college’s show choir as well as an NCAA Division 1 track and field competitor in javelin. She earned MVP and all-conference honors as she set school records. Music remains an important part of her life – she is currently a member of the Sandlapper Singers.
