Catharine Aitken is a devoted mother of four school-age children and the Behavior Interventionist/MTSS-B.E.S.T. Coordinator for Jackson Creek Elementary School in Richland School District Two. She has a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, and a M.A.T. in Elementary Education from USC.
Before settling down with her family, Catharine was an Oorganizer and State Director for Stand for Children, a national non-profit membership organization that advocates for quality K-12 education. She has served on the Boards of the Eau Claire Promise Zone (and as Interim Executive Director), Logan Elementary PTO and Foundation, Columbia Children’s Theatre, and is a member of the Columbia City Ballet’s Director’s Circle.
Catharine has a lifelong love of the arts, particularly music and theatre, and is excited to help share this gift with the children of the Midlands Arts Conservatory.
