Dawn Mills Campbell
Dr. Dawn Mills Campbell works as a research coordinator/technical writer at Benedict College in Columbia, SC. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications from Benedict College; a paralegal certificate from Midlands Technical College; a master of professional writing from Chatham University; and a doctor of philosophy degree in higher education administration from the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Campbell is active in the community where she holds several civic memberships and serves on several boards. She is a member of Historic Columbia Board of Trustees, serves as secretary/treasurer of the W. L. Bonner College Board of Directors, and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She is a freelance writer and public relations specialist, president and chief creative officer for New Dawning Publications, and has published more than 30 books for local authors. As a member of Refuge Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Columbia, Dr. Campbell is a licensed senior missionary; a member of the Voices of the Temple Inspirational Choir, the Ministers’ and Deacons’ Wives Guild, and the Women’s Council; and works as secretary to the pastor, Bishop Sylvester K. Reid. Dawn resides in Hopkins, SC with her husband, Stevenson Campbell, and they have seven children and five grandchildren.
